With over £25Bn under management, this established fund manager has a broad multi-asset product offering yet offers the specialised environment of an independant house. This is a real opportunity for an Analyst with a broad knowledge of the Japanese market to get considerable proximity to all aspects of the investment decision-making process. The analysts in the business take a vigorous ‘bottom-up’ approach to research and are responsible for full analysis, idea generation and assistance in fund management. This role also requires a widespread understanding of the Japanese market, to offer the team another viewpoint of the sector.
Working with the Fund Manager, you will provide investment recommendations that can add value to the portfolio and seek to exceed the investment performance expectations. In addition to the main fund, the successful Analyst will also be responsible for supplying Japanese stock ideas to larger Global & Asian portfolios; therefore you must have the communication skills to promote and endorse your ideas as part of a larger team.
To be successful, you must have the following attributes:
· Fundamental analysis skills, developed in either buy-side or sell-side environments.
· A broad understanding of the Japanese market, from a business and cultural perspective.
· Minimum CFA level I.
